For the Fall 2017 season with The Knights, cozy up to an intimate evening of poetry, music, song, and art, featuring drag queen Miz Jade who will premiere excerpts from Puerto Rican-born, Brooklyn-based composer Angélica Negrón‘s new drag opera ChimeraA Brooklyn Schubertiadewill be performed as an Evening Concert on Saturday, December 9, and as a Family Matinee on Sunday, December 10.

The Knights are a Grammy nominated Brooklyn-based orchestral collective, flexible in size and repertory, dedicated to transforming the concert experience. Led by brothers Colin and Eric Jacobsen and evolving from late night chamber music reading parties among a group of friends, The Knights engage listeners and defy boundaries with programs that showcase the players’ roots in the classical tradition and passion for musical discovery. The Knights are proud to bring their Home Season in Brooklyn to BRIC for the third year, partnering together to grow orchestral music in Brooklyn. The Knights are Artists in Residence at BRIC, rehearsing works that will be performed at BRIC and elsewhere while simultaneously engaging in outreach with the Brooklyn community.
