Join us for choral works by Northern European composers, all of which offer a testament of faith and a glimpse into a transcendent world. Icelandic composer Jón Leifs composed his Requiem in memory of his young daughter’s untimely death in a swimming accident.

Eriks Ešenvalds from Latvia has emerged as a composer of deeply affecting works such as his Stars and Only in Sleep, heard this evening. The concert will also feature works by Edvard Grieg, Ola Gjeilo and Jan Sandström, all performed in the noble Romanesque architecture of St. Bartholomew’s Church.
