Since 1973, Omega has been a major supporter of young musicians in New York City and Long Island. In 40+ years under the tireless leadership of Artistic Director Doris Konig, more than 170 outstanding artists have been given significant exposure and support at the beginning of their professional careers.

Omega’s success in scouting extraordinary talent has resulted in a group of alumni unsurpassed in the music world. Young artists presented by Omega have gone on to careers as concertmasters of the Philadelphia Orchestra, Chicago Symphony, Metropolitan Opera Orchestra; members of the Juilliard, Emerson, and Orion String Quartets; and winners of the Indianapolis, Tchaikovsky, and Munich ARD International Competitions.
