This concert pairs two newly formed ensembles — Exceptet, a Brooklyn-based septet whose unique instrumentation derives from Stravinsky’s classic “L’Histoire du Soldat,” with Ensemble Échappé, founded by Rome Prize winner Nina C. Young and Jocelin Pan, under the direction of Jeffrey Milarsky — with Goldfeather, a neo-old-timey band in an evening of music that roams freely across aesthetics, styles and neighborhoods.
