TEENS CURATE TEENS (TCT)

CURATORS 

What Matters to You? Make a statement. Tell a story. Curate an exhibition that not only demands attention but also sends a message that resonates with you and your community.   

TCT (Teens Curate Teens): An exhibition that is for teens and by teens. TCT brings together NYC high school artists and curators to produce a public, group art exhibition based on a subject selected by teens. Past themes have included: mental health, gun violence, and Black Lives Matter.

Program runs: January 7 – May 20, 2026  
Weekly meetings: Wednesdays: 4:30–6:30 PM

*No class on February 18 (Mid-winter Recess) or April 8 (Spring Recess)

Location: ArtsConnection office, midtown Manhattan

Special dates:

  • Wednesday, December 10 between 3pm-7pm: there will be a brief virtual interview (10-15 min each) for select applicants
  • Saturday, January 31: Teen Programs Open House (early morning / late afternoon; time & location TBD)
  • Saturday, May 20: Exhibition Opening Celebration (early morning / late afternoon; time & location TBD)

Application Process:

  • Apply by Sunday, November 30th Wednesday, December 3rd
  • There will be a brief virtual interview for select applicants on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 between 3pm-7pm (10-15 min each)
  • Final decisions will go out by the end of December 2025
