“Ms. Polonsky, a strong, sure partner, played with fluid clarity. The ear was drawn to the piano… Ms. Polonsky is someone to watch.” -The New York Times
“When you’re named after one of the biggest constellations in the night sky, the pressure is on to display a little star power — and the young pianist Orion Weiss did exactly that…” – The Washington Post
Ever since his triumphant Chopin 2nd in 2011, we’ve been anxious to bring back Orion Weiss. At the time, he had just married the brilliant and acclaimed Mozart interpreter, Anna Polonsky, and we knew the Mozart “double” was the perfect vehicle for this pianistic power couple.
PROGRAM
Rossini: Overture to L’italiana in Algeri
Mozart: Concerto for Two Pianos, No. 10 in E Flat Major
