Arts Partner: Jazz at Lincoln Center

**Get your tickets before sales close Thursday 10/25 @11am**

Thelonious Monk’s music is a playful, profound, and universally loved jazz canon that brings together musicians of all backgrounds and ages. As part of this season’s annual Monk Festival, the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis will debut new Monk arrangements written by members of the JLCO and by some of jazz’s most promising young musicians, including Joe Block and Matt Wong, who both won Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Essentially Ellington Composition/Arrangement competition when they were in high school. This performance is a chance to hear the JLCO’s top composers and the next generation’s brightest minds reinterpret the music of Monk for a band that can play anything.

Free pre-concert discussion nightly at 7pm.
