Saturday, March 7, 8PM – JORGE GLEM & CESAR OROZCO DUO (Traditional Venezuelan Cuatro & Piano) – Grammy-nominated virtuoso Venezuelan cuatro player and mandolinist Jorge Glem, joins forces with Cuban/Venezuelan pianist, composer, arranger, and Latin Grammy nominee César Orozco, in a concert featuring music from their first album as a duo entitled StringWise. Recorded in NYC, the album mixes the rhythms and energy of traditional Latin American genres such as Venezuelan joropo, merengue, and Cuban son with a repertoire of world renowned masterpieces from pop and jazz. “The music rises and falls like the air which knows no frontiers … a thing or rare beauty” (LJN–Latin Jazz Network).
