Sigur Rós is an Icelandic rock band and I believe that so many more people who enjoy instrumental music should listen to them. I know that I have fallen in love with their instrumental pieces. Many people do not know of them, but their music is so powerful and unique that it really deserves a listen. I first discovered them on Tumblr, someone had re-posted one of their songs and I gave it a listen. I have loved their music ever since. My favorite songs are Samskeyti (Acoustic), Track 4, and Med sud i eyrum vid spilum endalaust. I find them especially interesting because in some of their songs the vocalist is speaking

“Hopelandic”, which is a mix of Icelandic and Vonlenska. To a native English speaker, it is quite enchanting to hear. It provokes so many emotions at once and is incredibly enjoyable. I absolutely adore the band and hope that other will too!
