Introduced to the public at a young age by the Brazilian music masters Antonio Carlos Jobim, Vinicius de Moraes, and Toquinho, prolific performer, composer and producer Andres Laprida has racked up rave reviews from audiences, musicians and critics worldwide for his brilliant guitar skills.
His unique sound matches any style, and Laprida has recorded with a wide range of artists, including Gato Barbieri, Phillipe Saisse, New London Consort Orchestra and DJ Spooky.

Among his credits as a composer & producer for television and movies are soundtrack collaborations for Highlander and Euroland (RAI), and the films Minas de Ouro Preto and Un sueño realizado.

Seven remarkable compositions have been commissioned and published by the prestigious French publisher Le Chant du Monde, among which Florinda, Confidencias, Vanidad de las riquezas, Samba!, and O carnaval have been recorded and performed worldwide.

At this appearance, in additton to his own compositions Laprida will pay tribute to the bossa nova sound of Jobim. The Argentinian guitarist will also honor his compatriot, composer Astor Piazzolla, who is credited with adding a touch of jazz and classical to tango and creating a new style called nuevo tango.
