“…she nevertheless brings the questions, the pain and even the unspeakable thoughts of hundreds, if not millions, to life. ‘Until the Flood’ is an urgent moral inquest.” – New York Times CRITIC’S PICK
New York Premiere: We welcome back Rattlestick alumni writer Dael Orlandersmith (Horsedreams at Rattlestick, Pulitzer-Prize Finalist Yellowman) with her piece UNTIL THE FLOOD.
Orlandersmith returns with a one-person piece written in response to Michael Brown’s death. After interviewing scores of St. Louis residents, Orlandersmith plays the many faces and voices of life in the region. This is a mosaic of voices that tells one community’s story without advancing any one viewpoint above others.
85 minutes with a Post-Show Conversation. No intermission.
**Please note: Show contains language about violence (domestic, gun and verbal) and features sharp lighting changes.**
