The NYU Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Jens Georg Bachmann, will perform German Masterworks from three iconic German composers: Karlheinz Stockhausen, Hans Werner Henze, and Richard Wagner. The afternoon performance is the US premiere of Hans Werner Henze/Richard Wagner’s Sieben Kompositionen zu Goethes Faust.

Featured soloists on the Henze pieces are soprano Alexandra Deshorties and bass-baritone Keith Miller, with the NYU Chorale. Highlighted performances also include Karlheinz Stockhausen’s Tierkreis and Musik im Bauch with the NYU Percussion Ensemble.
