Ramona Renea presents “I Got My life”: A Tribute to the High Priestess of Soul, Nina Simone. The tribute is presented in three parts, in which part one highlights Nina’s musical commentary on black female identity. Part two incorporates love songs that chronologically follow several of her most complex relationships. The tribute set rounds out with Nina Simone’s gospel-infused acknowledgement and celebration of blackness.

According to Variety Magazine, singer Ramona Renea is “a showstopper”, and The Washington Post Weekend has aptly coined her the “sultry songstress”. Truly a force to be reckoned with, the accolades continue to flow for Ramona, who began touring the jazz circuit internationally with contemporary jazz recording artists Pieces of a Dream in 2000.
