Instructions to Decode A(n In)human Transformation, a punk “roach” cabaret inspired by Kafka’s Metamorphosis. Performed by a cast of three, directed by Ryan Justesen with an original score by Millca Paranosic and video mapping by Fernando Timba, the show uses an amalgamation of sound, words and music to explore the world of Gregor Samsa, the protagonist of Kafka’s masterpiece, following his transformation into a bug. It is also an existential meditation on the numbness of nine-to-five jobs as well as contemporary notions of family.
