La Petite Merveille and the Red Priest

The Spanish violinist Lina Tur Bonet and American harpsichordist Kenneth Weiss offer sonatas by Elizabeth Jacquet de la Guerre, called “the small wonder” at Louis XIV’s court, and Antonio Vivaldi, aka the “Red Priest.” La Guerre’s works mix Italian fire with French grace, while Vivaldi’s newly reconstructed Graz Sonatas will be heard for the first time in the U.S.
