RUDRA is a 4 piece ensemble who’s musical direction can best be described as acoustic World Fusion on steroids. RUDRA is co-led by guitarist Bobby Rozario and saxophonist/flutist Premik Russell Tubbs, along with South Indian percussion masters Swaminathan Selvaganesh and Ghatam Rajaram. The band takes a cue from guitar great John McLaughlin’s Shakti band, but continues to further explore the possibilities of harmonizing South & North Indian styles with the West’s jazz sensibilities & freedom of expression.
