Bodega Bay was an enjoyable show with a refreshingly unique story. Louise Finch is described as a quiet, shy, and boring girl. She lives in a house with her drug addict brother Scottie who claims to have a personality disorder that no one can understand but him. While trying to appease her brother and help him at the same time, she forces him into a rehab facility. However they’re short on cash, so Louise tries to find her long lost mother, who she believed would be able to help them. The last time Scottie and Louise saw their mother was when she abandoned them at a young age. Although these tragic events prevented Scottie from even wanting to speak to his mother, Louise wants to find her mother and fix a broken relationship. She still has great faith in her mother.
Louise’s endeavors shocked a lot of people, no one expected a low key girl who never left Staten Island to go on an adventure to find her long lost mother who left them as kids. On her journey to find her mother she meets many people along the way one of which is a detective investigator who has been working on Louise’s mother’s case. The detective Juan was the complete opposite of Louise, he was out spoken and filled with a strong personality. Through out the case Louise and Juan begin to have feelings for one another. However, Louise’s fear of losing someone close to her, as with her mother, gets in the way.
This show is a must see! It depicts family, commitment, hurt, fear, and love all connected to reveal a unique story.
