On Wednesday July 24, I had the wonderful opportunity of going to the first day of this summer’s Lincoln Center Out of Doors festival.  The Headlining act was Red Hot + FELA LIVE!, as well as M1, Kalmia Traver and many other extremely talented artists. The concert started off fairly calmly and peacefully with the band Superhuman Happiness and Kronos Quartet. But then turned into a wonderful party of great music and dancing people.  The overall atmosphere was very welcoming and fun and by the end no one was still sitting.  The world music styles of all of the performers covered the amazing tunes of Fela Kuti in tribute to him and his musical legacy.  I would highly recommend any concerts in this series for a fun FREE musical experience.
