The Cooper Hewitt museum in lower Manhattan now has a small exhibit which goes behind the scenes into how Pixar designs movies that you know and love, such as UP, Inside Out, and Toy Story. It’s chock-full of hands on activities, thanks to Cooper Hewitt’s latest technology: a pen that lets you capture information of objects in the museum, and view them at home!

The free admission also extends to the rest of the exhibits, so I recommend seeing the projection room, where you can make a simple pattern and see it as wallpaper

Too Much Light Makes The Baby Go Blind is an hour long performance where an amazing group of actors try to do 30 random plays they’ve written in an hour. The plays change every week, and cover topics such as global warming erotica, LGBT rights and struggles, the upcoming 2016 election, and more! But be advised: this show does cover some adult themes.
