Scarecrow by Zilvinas Kempinas

Scarecrow represents the phobia people have to let someone in and break down their walls for fear of being judged. Unlike people this sculpture allows anyone and everyone in despite their reasons to do so and that is what makes it so brave. From the outside it is very shiny and alive but that doesn’t make up for the fact it’s completely empty on the inside. Scarecrow questions human defensive nature and encourages us to be open and free from fears because maybe what we’re hiding just isn’t as important as we think. Scarecrow is a fearless, bold and inspiring work of art that pushes self confidence.

Queen Mother of Reality portrays the various struggles of women hood throughout history. This sculpture is truly captivating from its weird collage-esque composition to the many cultures placed on the inside. Queen Mother of Reality represents the power of women honoring their ability to carry and raise child while also displaying many women who fought for their rights. Queen Mother of Reality captures the hardships women faced in the past but not for the viewers to feel sympathy instead utilize it to fuel women to continue to fight.
