Watching The Inexplicable Redemption of Agent G was an incredible experience.  In the beginning of the show the actors captured my attention with their hilarious statements and tongue-in-cheek stereotypes of Vietnamese people.  I think the comedy and drama put together in this show collided perfectly for every type of audience member, whether a young adult or a grown up — they would’ve all equally enjoyed this show as much as I did.

The cast consisted of Neimah Djourabchi, Jon Hoche, Brooke Ishibashi, Bonnie Sherman, and Temar Underwood. These great actors were the only ones on that stage.  To my surprise they left the stage and came back seconds later with a completely different costume, which to me was amazing that such a small cast did this amazing play.

My favorite actor out of all was Temar Underwood.  In the beginning he was a lost play-writer who didn’t know how to finish his written story but at the end he gives us an amazing singing number explaining what actually happens in Vietnam and how his cousin flees to America.  This sank my heart to the ground because at first I though the story was just a funny way of for Asians to make fun of Asians, but he showed that it isn’t all fun and games and the story behind the jokes is really the telling of a tragedy of what happened over in East Asia.

The Inexplicable Redemption of Agent G is the type of show I’d watch again in heartbeat.
