VFORVENDETTA

We went to the October Pizza and a Movie Night where the theme was BEHIND THE MASK. We picked from a selection of 3 distinct concealed characters, each using their anonymity to very different ends.

Never been to Pizza and a Movie? Well, this is how it works. Each month there’s one theme and three films. We eat pizza then we vote on the movie…mob rule style! This month we watched V for Vendetta (directed by James McTeigue).

We asked four teens to give you their reviews on the film. Check out what Kia (The TRaC Star), Davon (The PaaM Regular) Esther (The Return PaaMer) and Wanyi (The Newbie) have to say about V for Vendetta.

How would you sum up the movie in one sentence?

Kia: A movie about a charismatic freedom fighter, who with the help of a young woman, fuels a revolution.

Davon: A great movie that represents a vigilante warrior trying to resolve conflict in a future London.

Esther: The people should not be afraid of their government, the government should be afraid of [its] people.

Wanyi: This movie is a “prediction” of revolution and society vs. authority.

On a scale of 1 to 10 (1= “Hated it”, 10= “My New Favorite”), how would you rate this movie?

Kia: 5- fascinating but too overblown and audacious for its own good.

Davon: 7

Esther: 7

Wanyi: 8

Final Rating: 7 slices
