The title of the art exhibition is ON. The artist is Derrick Adams.

The exhibition is located at Pioneer Works in Red Hook, Brooklyn. The artwork is a mixture of mediums. There is a video at the beginning of the exhibition showcasing young Black characters interacting in a comedic, and intelligent manner. There are collages made of African fabrics. There are various illuminated sculptures. There are vintage televisions with multi colored static lines. The use of the number 9 is used repeatedly throughout the exhibition. The subject matter is on Black culture in the media, specifically in television. The exhibition highlights the stereotypes of Black characters in television, while the video mentioned in the beginning refutes those stereotypes.

In terms of organization the exhibition showcases the video of the young Black characters, as well as a glass sculpture with lots of bright colors that when seen from the side, various objects and people can be seen. Each piece of artwork demonstrates stereotypes of Black characters in television, while also showing appreciation for the success of certain Black TV shows and celebrities. The video seems to be a very huge piece of the exhibition as it is the first piece of artwork, and the last piece seen by the audience.

The exhibition can be described as comedic, realistic, vintage, and thought provoking. The exhibition is based on Black culture and the media world which has immediate relevance, as most of the world has a television. The exhibition is very original and thought provoking. It is is abstract yet very simplistic to understand as well. ON by Derrick Adams is a work that goes back into the time of the Golden age of television in order to comment on the current state of Black culture in the media.
