Arts Partner: Pregones Theater + Puerto Rican Traveling Theater

Saturday, March 14, 8PM – ANGÉLICA NEGRÓN & BRONX ARTS ENSEMBLE (Playful New Music) — Fresh from her massive and triumphant Chorus of the Forest installation at New York Botanical Garden, groundbreaking Puerto Rican composer and performer Angélica Negrón joins Bronx Arts Ensemble’s string quartet for all-new arrangements of original works. The evening will include a rich cross-section of Angélica’s compositions from live electronics to strings to piano, with some great surprises in store including a piece written for and performed by adventurous pianist and vocalist Emily Manzo. Also featuring works that have inspired the guest artist, from Ginastera to Stravinsky. “Wistfully idiosyncratic and contemplative” (WQXR/Q2). “Mesmerizing and affecting” (Feast of Music).

**Please Note: Sales for weekend shows will close on Friday at 4pm. Please be sure to purchase tickets for Saturday and Sunday shows the Friday before at 4pm, after that tickets will no longer be available for purchase.**
