Arts Partner: Dance Entropy
“Captivating, Fun and Entertaining… Dance Entropy did the (almost) impossible by performing for children of all ages keeping them entertained and fascinated.”-Barbara Amarantis, New York City Parks Dept.
Spring Blooms will feature the work of Valerie Green/Dance Entropy, Trina Mannino and Aimee Plauche sharing stimulating crowd pleasers, getting audience members dancing and laughing – a hit for all ages to enjoy!
Valerie Green/Dance Entropy presents Dandia an energetic work inspired by an Indian folk dance performed with sticks, so stimulating that the whole audience is up and dancing in the end. And the humorously absurd solo Chiquita, manipulating and transforming a tablecloth in a milieu of unexpected ways. Ghost Duet, connecting at great distances, dancers reveal and hide as two bodies improvise in life-size knitted body sleeves conceived by Trina Mannino. Aimee Plauche presents The Octopus: fascinating, poorly understood, and often grouped under the misnomer “octopi”. In this dance theater work, the intriguing cephalopod faces the miracles and pitfalls of its isolated existence.
