“Luminous music anchored in jazz harmony and in Arab traditions. No kitsch postcards here, but a joyous and thoughtful vision. ”  — Télérama

Born and raised in Beirut, Tarek is a Harlem-based, Lebanese-American award winning composer and a jazz pianist sharing his brilliant sounds of Afro-Tarab Jazz in this Aaron Davis Hall debut concert.

Critically acclaimed for music that is “full of poetry and mysticism”, Tarek ingeniously bridges the boundaries between two eclectic cultures and musical heritages creating a sound and style unlike any other.
