“From Broadway to Brooklyn,” last semester’s Music TRaC explored the music of the city in order to comment on their own experiences. The culmination of that journey was a zine that relives Motown the Musical and analyzes this elusive thing we call “star power.” Both a recitation of Music TRaC’s experiences and a teach-by-example guidebook for writing a review, Music TRaC’s zine is a must read.
About Thomas Choi
I grew up right here in New York City (the greatest city in the world), in West Harlem. There’s nothing like growing up in the city because each and every one of you is growing up with more freedom and independence than most anyone else your age. I went to high school at the High School of American Studies at Lehman College located in the Bronx. Currently, I am attending New York University studying journalism – a career track I decided on after spending two years in TRaC with Rico a.k.a. Superbizzee Washington and Brian a.k.a. wishes-he-had-a-cool-aka McCormick.
