Here’s one last recap of the semester!

First, let’s go back a week before the final week when you all did one-on-one interviews with snny. Interviewing, transcribing and writing a profile on an artist can each be topics that take up a class on its own, so I was very impressed that you all were able to handle all three in one session. For snny, he still talks about y’all and really wants to find a way to get involved again — maybe a studio session or show this summer? Hmmm… 🙂

For our last class/final trip of the semester, we headed out to Engine Room Audio in Manhattan’s Financial District, where we learned what it was like to record a song. Our class theme for this week was COUNTRY, and with the success of Lil Nas X’s Billboard Hot 100 chart-topper “Old Town Road” with Billy Ray Cyrus, I wanted to test your skills in making a modern country track. When I tell you I was impressed — FAM!!! Yeee-freaking-HAW! Hahaha, you all did so amazing and it was the perfect way to cap off the Spring 2019 semester.

Before you scroll down and listen to the song, take a look at your “in the booth” pics and the musician names I made up for each of you LOL:

“Riding In My Truck” by Music TRaC Spring 2019 is officially available to stream, right here on the JAR!
