This month was the Villains edition, specifically those outside of the Superhero, Fantasy and Sci-Fi genres (not to worry! that theme deserves it’s own movie night). We presented a menu of movies with baddies covering the spectrum. These antagonists have been described as monstrous, sympathetic, wicked, and genius. Here are the titles that made the cut:Screen Shot 2016-05-19 at 4.54.12 PM

Hailed as on of the greatest films ever made and winner of the “Big Five” Academy Awards: One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, The Coen Brothers’ American neo-Western thriller: No Country for Old Men, and critically acclaimed Brazilian crime drama City of God. These films challenge us to consider how we define a villain and acknowledge the complexities and contradictions that make us human.
