The Theory of Everything

We went to the May Pizza and a Movie Night where Film TRaC hosted. We voted on a menu of movies that Film TRaC explored this semester.

Never been to Pizza and a Movie? Well, this is how it works. Each month there’s one theme and three films. We eat pizza then we vote on the movie…mob rule style! This month we watched The Theory of Everything (directed by James Marsh).

We asked three teens to give you their reviews of the film. Check out what Keiny (The Veteran PaaMer), Sharon (The Film TRaC Star), and Evan (The Newbie) have to say about The Theory of Everything.

How would you sum up the movie in one sentence?

Keiny: An extraordinary creation in the history of film.
Sharon: Fireworks. Humor. Romance. Peas and Potatoes.
Evan: Stephen Hawking.

Who would you recommend this movie to?

Keiny: To everyone who’s into biographies.
Sharon: Anyone who is interested in an unconventional science/math film and wouldn’t mind crying  couple of times.
Evan: People who enjoy thinking and Stephen Hawking.

On a scale of 1 to 10 (1= “Hated it”, 10= “My New Favorite”), how would you rate this movie?

Keiny: 8
Sharon: 7
Evan: 5.5 – not my new favorite but it has a lot of memorable moments and quotes that I will carry with me and remember in the future.

Final Rating: 7 slices
