Here’s what the teen audience had to say…

FINAL RATING: 6.5 out of 8 slices

Every PaaM night, we ask our teens to give us their honest reviews of the winning movie. We then select voices that capture the range of opinions and critiques. Read what Litzy, Siya, Mauricio, and Zaniah had to say about the coming-of-age story.

Choose three words to describe the movie.

Litzy: Perplexing, unsettling, overdramatic

Siya: Vibrant, detailed, engaging

Mauricio: Suspenseful, explosive, massive

ZaniahEpic, scenic, interesting

What was your favorite scene? Bonus: Why? **SPOILER ALERT!**

Litzy: When the woman got healed by Max, because she developed a true bond with him and realized that the war she went through was worth it at the end.

Siya: My favorite scene was when Nux gave up his life to protect the breeders, because he uses “witness me,” the silly sacrificial saying, but this time it was more heavy due to his character development.

Mauricio: My favorite scene was the final climax because it was an epic vehicle chase that had me constantly worrying about the protagonists, whether or not any of them would come out alive, and how they would escape from the situation.

Zaniah: Seeing Tom Hardy get out from being trapped on the front of the car because it was simply epic and a true fight for his life.

Would you recommend this to a friend? Why or why not?

Litzy: It depends; if they seem to be the type of person to like very violent, confusing, and overall a very unnatural genre of movies, then yes. But if that’s not their preference, I’d rather not.

Siya: Yes, I would recommend this because it’s a moving, visually-pleasing and intriguing movie.

Mauricio: Yes, because the film manages to grab the viewer’s attention with its visuals and it’s a spectacle to see, even if the story and character elements weren’t very well established. As long as they’re willing to just have fun and take a backseat to the adrenaline-inducing action.

Zaniah: I would recommend the movie because the action and the graphics were amazing, all scenes were composed well, acting was eh, but scenery was good. I would definitely recommend coming to the library, I made an awesome friend and hung out with an old one.
